Chris Pantoya
Ms. Pantoya is a Partner and Chief Transformation Officer at Astra. Ms. Pantoya has over 25 years’ experience across the wireless, cable and entertainment industries, serving in senior operating and strategic roles. Most recently, Ms. Pantoya worked as Chief Commercial Officer in tech-enabled entertainment startups, Kiswe Mobile and Fan Controlled Sports, focusing on go-to-market plans and scaling growth (2020 – 2025). During this time, she also served as a CFO in Omnichannel Acquisition Corporation (SPAC) focused on direct-to-consumer related target companies. Previously, she spent 4 years (2015-2019) leading and growing the National Basketball Association’s direct-to-consumer streaming business globally. She served 3 years at Verizon Communications (2012-2015), as Vice President of Corporate Development, leading corporate development efforts in the media and entertainment realm; where she helped the company to acquire and integrate multiple companies related to digital content, mobile advertising and video technology. Prior to Verizon, Ms. Pantoya spent the early days of her career as a regional business leader across Sprint Nextel, Clearwire and Cox Communications, responsible for growth and delivery in each of the companies’ most prominent geographies. She currently serves on the board of directors for: Ryman Hospitality (NYSE: RHP; REIT and entertainment company) and serves as Compensation Committee Chair and Audit Committee Member; and Bastion (stablecoin infrastructure and issuance trust). Ms. Pantoya holds a BA in Spanish and International Studies and received an MBA, both from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virgina.
